Thrift Like a BA: Items to Search for at the thrift shop!

Yay! The day has finally come: my first thrifting blog post. It's crazy to think that it's taken me this long to start this series, but here we are! Thrifting is such a big part of my life, and I'm excited to share my joy with all of you. Second hand clothing is not only sustainable for the environment, but it also allows you to add statement items that create character in any outfit.
I do believe it takes a specific eye for thrift shopping. But fear not, it is easy to catch on once you've learned the basics. I thought I would share the details that I look for while thrifting that will maybe give you a better idea of what to buy!
Lounge wear
Comfy clothes are a must in any closet! They are some of my favorite things to get from the thrift store because they are easy to find. Oversized items can be located in the men's section & are typically the coziest. Why pay lots of money for clothes you plan to lay around in all day?

Denim, denim, & more denim
You can never have enough denim. It is such a staple pattern that is easy to pair with basic tees and dramatic looks. I especially love putting denim on denim - it makes me feel like a rebel in the fashion community. The thrift shop has great vintage denim pieces that are in style right now.

discounted designer
I don't consider myself to be a brand fanatic. However, it's a great feeling when you find a branded gem at an extremely discounted price. This top is actually made by Michael Kors & it cost me maybe $10. Always be on the look out for some boujee stuff at a low price!

Two-Piece Sets
Sometimes two-piece sets can feel intimidating, but this style is in!! The blazer and dress section is a good place to start your search for items like this in the thrift shop.
