Boy, do I have a sweet tooth! Ice cream has always been my favorite dessert, so it's only fitting that I spent two and half years serving it to my community. Working at Dairy Queen, I was able to find my niche at a young age and to learn how to balance my work - school - social life throughout my high school. I started this job as a crew member as soon as I turned 16, and through the years, I progressed to the top shift leader at the store. This taught me how to delegate roles, sharpen my customer service skills, and most importantly step out of my comfort zone. I am extremely grateful for the opportunities and memories that Dairy Queen provided me with, and it showcased the type of growth and fun I value in a workplace.

SOME THINGS
NEVER CHANGE
I am a born and raised maize and blue fan. My dad is an alumni of the University and has instilled a sense of Michigan pride in me since the day I was born. Getting into UMich was one of my biggest accomplishments; not only because of its prestigious reputation and advanced education, but also because of all the opportunities that it has to offer. Ann Arbor is a wildly progressive city that promotes self-excellence and a strong confide in community. The amount and variety of extracurriculars that UMich provides allows its students to branch out of their comfort zone to find what they truly love. Lastly, the alumni network of the University of Michigan is extensive and prideful. Overall, the opportunity to attend this University was exciting and has not disappointed me yet!
If you told me a couple years ago that I would be working in the sales industry, I would never have believed you. But it's true! Coming into my Freshman year of college, I was introduced to a job opportunity at an apartment complex in Ann Arbor. I initially had little knowledge of what the job description actually meant, but all I knew was that I was willing to learn. This opportunity was my first step in my professional career, and to this day, I am so happy that I took it. I started working at Landmark Apartments in August of 2018 as a Community Assistant where I uphold a number of responsibilities: sales, receptionist, marketing, RA, package receiver. You name it! Overall, this job has taught me things about myself that I didn't know about before and has helped me to see what kind of work I want to be doing in the future.
Ever since I was little, I enjoyed playing dress up and taking on different roles. Now in a more complex yet parallel way, I still enjoy 'accessorizing' myself. One way that I do this is by staying involved with extracurricular activities. I joined Michigan Advertising and Marketing club (MAM) my Winter semester of Freshman year, and it has helped me make friends and become familiar with the marketing field. MAM allows me to practice valuable advertising tactics with real clients and made me branch out of my comfort zone to find something I really enjoy. Additionally, I joined a TV production club on campus this year called WolvTv. This extracurricular teaches me the excitement of filming a news program and exposes me to practices that would benefit me in the film
