Pose Like a BA: Guy Edition!

I know I know, most of my content is geared towards the girl community; however, I'm excited to finally share some content for my guy friends out there. This blog post was even a learning experience for me because for some time now, I was clueless on how to pose guys in photo shoots. Hopefully these example poses will
spark some BA inspiration to elevate your photo game!

I LOVE this pose as a photographer because it loosens up your subject especially if they are nervous in front of a camera. Asking them to simply walk towards you or down a set of stairs isn't intimidating & creates a great movement element to the photo!
This pose is for my dramatic/bold guys out there. It catches a great side profile of the subject while still flattering their figure. I like how this pose is so versatile, but something as simple as this can really spruce up the way you look in photos.
One of my favorite posing tips in general is to get involved with your environment, and this pose does just that! It gives the subject something to do with their hands, yet it lends a nice dimension aspect to the photo.
A seated pose for guys can be tricky, but I love to shoot at a low angle with the subject in this pose. Clasping the hands above or around the knee keeps the photo looking masculine, and this is a great opportunity to show off any rings or watches the subject may be wearing!
Like it says in the title, this is a POWER STANCE. With the spread out legs and hands in the pockets, the subject takes control of the frame. It also looks super dope with masks!
This pose was suggested by my subjects & I ended up loving it. Throwing your flannel or coat over the shoulder adds a hipster vibe that I am here for! It looks great standing or sitting down too.
